THE ARCHETYPES OF FEMALE POWER
Fini’s representation of the female body is equally revolutionary and distinctive. Works such as Femme assise sur un homme nu (1942) and Femme en armure II (1938) portray women with armored bodies—far from vulnerable or languid. Not mere muses but protagonists, Fini’s female figures embody a primordial and indomitable force, drawing attention to themes of gender, identity, and self-assertion
